About this website

Rolde.nl is Rolde’s village website: news from the village, from the villages of the former municipality of Rolde and from the rest of Aa en Hunze, an events calendar, and a guide to the buildings, dolmens, art and nature in and around the village. You can read about Rolde itself on About Rolde.

Since 2024 Rolde.nl has been owned by Moi! Webservices, Sjoerd Buurman’s company, which is based in Rolde.

In four languages

Rolde.nl is available in Dutch, Drents (the regional language of Drenthe), English and German, so that visitors from outside Drenthe also know what there is to see and do.

The logo

The Rolde.nl logo is a modern version of the coat of arms of the former municipality of Rolde: a gold shield with a red band, a silver sword, a small cross and four hands swearing an oath. The coat of arms recalls the time when the Etstoel, the highest court of Drenthe, held its sessions in Rolde. You can read how the coat of arms came about and what became of it on About Rolde.

Weather, waste collection and emergency services

The weather forecast comes from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, MET Norway, the waste collection days from Mijn Afvalwijzer, and the emergency service call-outs from P2000, the paging network of the Dutch emergency services. These call-outs do not include house numbers. The collection days on the home page apply to an address in Rolde; for your own address, check mijnafvalwijzer.nl. In an emergency, call 112.
